The question styles felt exactly like what I sat for, so I stopped second-guessing — I had already worked the rationale on that kind of item.

How many questions are on the 2026 NCLEX-RN?Show

The 2026 NCLEX-RN is a Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) with 85 to 150 scored questions plus 15 unscored pretest items. The test ends when the algorithm is 95% confident in your ability level or you hit the five-hour time limit.

What is the 2026 NCLEX-RN passing standard?Show

NCSBN sets the passing standard at 0.00 on the logit scale (updated April 2023, reaffirmed for 2026). You must demonstrate ability at or above the standard on the Computer Adaptive Test to pass.

How are Next-Gen NCLEX (NGN) items scored?Show

NGN case studies and stand-alone items use partial credit. You earn points for every correct option picked and every wrong option avoided. Guessing hurts your score.

Yes — the full interactive question bank, all lessons, notes, flashcards and quizzes are free while you study. The $29 2026 Question Pack is optional and adds a printable set of exam-style questions with rationales.

How often are practice questions updated?Show

The 2026 pack is refreshed monthly using recall-based questions from candidates who just took the exam. The main question bank is updated weekly.
